With over 30 years’ experience in running an IT company providing services to small and medium sized businesses, our Managing Director Ian McBride has witnessed first hand the growth and evolution of technology in the workplace.

As a qualified accountant who first started the business in 2001, Ian’s objectives were to ensure his clients receive the best possible return on their investment in accounting software. This very quickly moved onto including the PC’s and network the software ran on – this was the start of Forth Tech becoming the IT company it is now today.

In 2022 Forth Tech became a Certification Body for Cyber Essentials and IASME certifications in the UK. This is a new area of expertise now available to our clients – one that very much enhances the IT services already being provided.

Tom Davison

Director

Tom has worked in IT for almost 20 years and is our comms and Azure specialist. He particularly enjoys working on large IT projects and learning new technologies.

Married to Iszie, Tom has two young twins and two dogs. When he is not working on computers, you’ll find him practicing karate and playing computer games.

Gary Campbell

Director

Gary has worked in IT for almost 15 years and has an enthusiasm for all things IT. He particularly enjoys installing and securing large networks with firewalls being a speciality.

Married to Emma he has two young children. When he gets time he enjoys playing music and following his local football team.

Ian McBride

Ian McBride is the founder of Forth Tech. Before starting the business, he spent 20 years as a partner for a successful accountancy practice, where he would come to realise that many of his clients would benefit greatly from support for their technology, as well as their finances.

Forth Tech was established in 2001 as a result and immediately began helping businesses to boost their performance and productivity with a comprehensive range of innovative products and services. Ian, later with help from Tom Davison and Gary Campbell, have made Forth Tech the successful IT support provider it is today. Ian retired in 2024, selling the business to Tom and Gary.
